The lastest installation of Final Fantasy which is coined Final Fantasy XIV from a visual stand point looks great. From a design stand point I am unsure if it will live up to expectations. F.F15 much like 13 just seems like a gorgeous anime with no structure.Why you ask,for starters I am not pulled into their world. Final Fantasy 7 to this day even though it was release in 1997, I still feel connected to that world even with it’s low poly and blocky characters, it was and still is an interesting game.

Square-enix needs to focus more on what they were good at which was great mechanics and excellent story. Lets take a steb back to Final Fantasy 12. Now that was another game that from my point of few was well designed. The characters looked believable, the world was interesting, and the game play was engaging. Regardless of that factor everything was not perfect but it was enjoyable and the idea of escaping to that world for welcoming. Another plus for 12 was the elements in the game seemed to fit and had a sense of balance, things did not look thrown in or misplaced.

Lets break 15 down to the core of what and why I feel this way. The Characters or some characters have enormous weapons and that normally relates to power and strength, but the weapons had a useless design sense. For example a sword is sword but a huge sword that looks like it should do more should actually do more, not just be a huge sword with none logical parts, if it going to be that way then simple cobble something together and I can accept that. Yet it looks pretty blah blah blah, again mismatched designs equals wth.
Since Final fantasy is an action RPG of sorts lets compare it one of such.
Lets look at Mass effect. Big hulking characters means take out with that big cool gun. Small characters well that means throw a pebble their way.
-Yes it is japanese and yes they make anime but there are good anime and really bad anime. Here is a anime that make big robots cool again Gurren Lagann. The world and idea was out of this world but we loved the characters and designs thus felt connected. I having the grand idea to make a mini game which can thus explain my idea and notion.
