I am going to go on record to state I was upset at first when SPike stated he wanted kickstarter to fund his movie. Why was I upset initially, firstly from my point of view he had the money, why did he need our funds to fund his project. I am normally upset when any celebrity or any individual who has money asks for money from the public to fund their projects, when they have money. Then it dawned on me he is an indy film maker, doing what he has always done. Much like the indy game developers and artist and so forth. Regardless if he made main stream movies and what not he was still indy. Then I decided to really listen to his message and look into his past a bit more and found out profound things that as a fellow I did not know and I felt embarrassed here I was judging a man that has done alot. There is more to my initial anger but that is beside the point. At the end of the day I can be glad I was apart of his kickstarter campaign, I threw in my own to be part of this moment. Spike I apologize for doubting you when in all honesty I should not have any reason to. Now go out there and make something great.

The biggest people who can hurt you goal is your own kind and I was guilty of that, until I decide why not see where this goes. Did I feel he was going to make the goal, my answer is no. How was he going to hit that goal when there are so many that think like I do who are in a way doubting the possibility. In the end I am glad he made the goal, it seems he did have a few power players that decide to thrown in their lot of money too.

He did a real down to earth video keeping it real why he wanted to kickstart this campaign, that is when I said to myself to hell with it, this is freaking SPike Lee son do what is right.
