pokemon_fated_duel

So I recently saw a flash animation on newground by animator Damola Ikusika from London. At first when the animation loading screen started I was some what taken back but in a few seconds into the animation I realized that this animator was a visual genius. This animation had a mixture of some of the best visuals and animation tricks I have seen in quite q while and he worked his strengths greatly. This was a true marvel to behold. Damola you have ignited a flame that has been long dormant. I have yet to find his website to see more work but if one of you find his work let me know I did find a facebook but that is as far as I will search. Nobody got time for that.

REAL TALK–GSW an animation house in Jamaica secure unnamed project

READ THE ARTICLE HERE

So I have yet again read an article regarding animation going to my home land and had to comment.
My comment is below.

This simply opens the channels to more animation houses. The one misconception that many seem to avoid or simply dance around is where the money really goes. The news always seems to talk about billions of dollars, but never who inherits these millions/billions, certainly not the animation house but the producers. The producer if no one is familiar is the ones who facilitates the animation. Allow me to explain further, Disney would be the distributors and owner of the product not GSW. Disney pays GSW x amount of dollars to make the animation. The real money comes after the product is made and sold and is created into said merchandise.
Since we are here talking about animation I will stay on subject. Going back to what I was stating when a product makes money in the box office or local distribution, the animation houses does not make any profit from that, just like clothing or etc so I would like that they stop spreading this ridiculous noise about the animation community garner so much money.
Last year and early this year several Top animation studios were closed due to funding so where did all that money go. Lets hope that does not happen here in Jamaica.
The good that will come out of this will be more creative jobs in the animation sector going to Jamaica and the other Caribbean countries. If you are interested in knowing the actual salary of an animator in Korea or India you may want to simple Google it and you will be surprised . Either way I am extremely glad to know that these skilled jobs are coming home to Jamaica providing our country with a well need boost in that job sector. We are a country of creative individuals so we might as well show that fully again.
Where Jamaica will make money is when they make product that other countries will buy. So if they start making animation that can hit on a global scale then we are golden.
