There were only a few good dbz fighting game that I considered awesome sauce, I will list the ones I liked. Ultimate Battle 22(playstation), Dragon ball z Legends(playstation/saturn), Hyper Dimension(snes),Dragon Ball Z: Super Butōden 2 and last but not least Burst Limit. The others were so so but these were the ones that I enjoyed and were solid.

Here comes a Mugen project which I am excited to see complete by a handful of DBZ fan out there. A few years ago around the time I was working on my fighting game ‘Born Fighters’ I was advised that I should use Mugen to create my game but I know that I would not have acquired all the skills I have if I went that route, regardless Mugen is a great tool to use to get your fighting game out there as it uses preset fighting game engines but you still have to put the work in and create sprites if none exist for the characters you are making them game to represent. As usual forget my ranting and check out this awesome vid.

Hands down I think the Samus vs Master Chief Mugen battle was the best.

Here again we are presented with another awesome humble bundle. But there is one game I am eye balling because
it was created in game maker. I have heard talk about gamer and that it’s not a solid engine. As a seasonal programer as I like to label myself from the productions that are coming out of that tool I don’t see it as being a bad tool package. Several games that I have noticed that were made that I am aware of is Savant and Hyper Light Drifter and those are some pretty nifty games. From a person who was able to make a really solid game in flash with little to almost no programming knowledge except for web html, java and some php and then action scripting I can say please spare me the mellow drama you everyday programmers. It’s not simply the tools but the person behind the tools. If you suck like I did but have the drive you can eventually make a decent product but if you are just a whiny you know what then your product will also suck. Either way this little post is simply to let you know if you have some drive but not the greatest skill check out game maker and also from speaking to these guys at GDC you can do some code work in this application so don’t play the game of ohhh it’s game maker it must suck, no its you who suck. Now get to work.
