I know there are many out there hitting indy game dev for doing retro style games but you know what. For a small team it’s easier to tackle and get the product out than a major 3d title where you have so much more to worry about. In all honesty its the game play to me these days than just graphics. If the game plays really well I can sometimes get pass the level of graphics. These games that have high level of details with sub-par game play simply have no stability and are not in my radar.
