So I watched the first episode of House of Cards and best home for a show of magnitude and character was Netflix. Unfortunately today with so many channels and methods of filling your viewing needs, it would have failed on regular tv, that model just did not fit the mold of “House of cards”. It was a show that needed to be released in one shot. For example one shot movies. Everything is contained in that single hour, two hour or how ever long the movie happens to be. Actually that was not a good example, lets see if I can do better than that. Ok here we go, in the case of “House of Cards”, due to the pacing and the way individuals watch tv and the mere fact that there are many avenue you have to give them the power of right now access as Kevin Spacey stated in his talk regarding his distaste of the tv model.

With the limited scope and mind of people of today it would have failed on regular tv but on netflix where everything was released in one shot this was Simply Brilliant. The netflix/hulu type of instant ondemand is the new tv method hence why cable companies are realizing they have to partner with these companies else the only use they will serve is to provide the highway for the streaming traffic.

A series that has been airing on Spoken reason’s Channel called Dr reason is both smart and hilarious. This puts SpokenReason on another chart of humor and market value. I have watched this young man from early days as he slowly built his rep to where it is today and have to admit he did a rather splendid job of getting to this level and attaining the audience he so deserves. The only thing I was disappointed in was the role he was typecast for his first acting gig regardless of the fact he was able to receive his first air time aside from his global reach of the internet. This man received the blessing of Russell Simmons a mongol in the world of fashion, entertainment and business coming up off the street to gain world wide praise.
