DAYUM!! Amazing Composer, GameDev, Artist #samdillard Sam Dillard!!!

Just came across Sam Dillard’s music on amazon and then later his youtube page, all I have to say is wow. What normally draws me to a product is nostalgia and it occurred to me that is naturally the way to ones heart. Sam has recrafted some amazing remixes of some already amazing tracks which have been redone by many. I am no composer or musician but I simply love well crafted music. The sound or level of production is at the level where I have purchased several of his albums. In all honesty if I invest my hard earned cash into your product sometimes it means you have some form of value in my eyes. I won’t keep my banter going for long as my job is to showcase the artist or product and move along to the next.
The nostalgic throw back that reigned me in was Chronotrigger, Chronocross and Xenogears which came from the square-enix camp.
Sam Dillard has also stated he is a Game Developer and Artist, unfortunately I have not had the pleasure of studying his body of work which entails his Gamedeveloper know how or Artistry hopefully I will eventually make that time.

DAYUM!!-MUSIC THE ULTIMATE DRIVER FOR MY ART

Music is my drug that I will spend money to obtain if the sound is right, I always seek out the most interesting music to help propel my art and the story that I choose to draw, write or direct. I have come across many new composers of music. Today I will share some of the creators I feel worth to get my money, some or many have worked on things I have a connection to from my youth, such as music from a game or animation. Most will be scores so that simply means no vocals or minimal vocals. I may throw in a few with vocals at the end but we shall see. The first I have to point out is the most recent addition to my list is Sam Dillard his website has his collection of awesomeness. http://samostudios.tumblr.com/.
I will simply list the rest with a small reason why i purchased their album with a link to their respective websites.

Bad-Dudes, they created a Chrono Trigger album which sounded awesome, totally sold after that. Nothing else to add well maybe the fact that I saw their music on a retrogame website. http://baddudesmusic.com/#discography

M83 wow, how can I describe this talent, he had all original music which was totally mesmerizing. I found his music by accident nine or so years ago all I know is I had it saved in my youtube favorites and playlist and several years ago I simply wanted to find out who was the artist who did the music. Unfortunately I could not pin point the artist as the music could not be detected by shizaam which was weird either way I was able to track him down the song in question was “Lower your eyelids to die with the sun”-featured in this skateboard vid.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZIk5YervWU I was totally sold and tracked down all his albums and bought everyone. If you want more on them check here. Oh and he did music for Oblivion https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mkUp1V3ys0

Blake Robinson another talent that blew me away with what he did to the chrono trigger symphony collection. Check out his websites http://blakerobinson.co.uk/ and http://syntheticorchestra.com/ I was in love when I found his music. Not much else to say on that.

Richie Branson (born Marcus Brown II) His music was a take to a different level and I actually enjoyed it when not working as too much vocals keep mind really busy. http://richiebranson.com/

Disasterpiece http://disasterpeace.com/ This creator created some of the music for most of the indy games I love Hyper Light Drifter to name a few. Check him out.

The last I will mention is Fela Kuti, I came across Fela’s music through Pandora and I was not aware of this Man. Once I did my research I realized he was an amazing dude with many faults. I won’t get into much detail if you need more simply read up here. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fela_Kuti

These clusters are ones that I could relax to, MGMT, Lumineers,Jonsi,Devotchka, The Neighbourhood and Of monsters and men. there are many more but these are the ones I can go back to and get some meaningful work plus they are less known well except for the Lumineers I am not sure how well know is MGMT.

Notable mentions
Bjork
Clint Mansell– The Fountain OST
Florence and the Machines
Imagine Dragons
YOKO KANNO
BAHAMAS IS AFIE
